Boston Terriers are bred to be companions which means that they would be pretty miserable if they do not have adequate time and attention from their people. They are very easily trained, they learn quickly and do well in dog sports such as agility and flyball.
Caution about Boston Terriers, they are brachycephalic which means that they have a flat broad nose and short upper jaw. They are susceptible to overheating in humid or hot weather. With their short coats, they are not very tolerant of cold. Also Boston Terriers have protruding eyes so they can be prone to corneal abrasions.

They do something called reverse sneezing. The first time it happens it will scare you to death, but if you massage their throat it helps them get relief quicker.
Many Boston Terriers get what we call the "zoomies", they run around in circles as if they are having an out of body experience. It is great entertainment for their people.
Boston Terriers are native to the United States. I thought that was interesting since there aren't many pups that are native to the United States. They used to be called American Bull Terriers until the AKC decided to change the name in 1891. They are a cross between and English Bulldog and a White English Terrier.
